Robert Cassel Obituary
Portland, MI to Carol (Wilson) and Clare Cassel.
Bob worked for many years in plastic injection molding, at one point setting up a small shop in
Muskegon. In retirement, he enjoyed frequent drives to Lake Michigan with his dog Abbie, working on
his home and yard, following political news, and keeping his daughter up to date on West Michigan real
estate. He attended Muskegon High School, Muskegon Community College, and Grand Rapids
Community College.
He is survived by his daughter Daisha Cassel and son-in-law Matthew Smith of Albuquerque, New
Mexico, siblings Michael of Muskegon, Gary and wife Teresa of Mason, Julie Droste and husband Marv
of Lyons, nieces and nephews Tim Cassel, Autumn Droste, Elizabeth Cassel, Adam Cassel, Luke Cassel,
Ryan Cassel, Ivan Droste, and Danielle Bruesch, and former spouse Holly (Snowfleet) Cassel.
He was preceded in death by both parents and his sister Cheryl Bruesch.
Bob inherited his beloved pet when his sister passed away. In memory of Bob and in honor of Abbie
please support pet adoption and foster programs in your community.
