Robert Cathcart Obituary
Born on February 6, 1960, in Oberlin, Kansas, Robert spent his early years in the community where he would later attend Decatur Community High School.
Robert was known for his kind and soft-spoken nature. Those who knew him appreciated his quiet strength and gentle demeanor. He found joy and peace in the outdoors, especially through his love of hunting, fishing, making lures and riding his motorcycle - pastimes that brought him both solitude and connection with nature.
Robert is lovingly remembered by his mother: Shirley Cathcart; his daughter: Stacey Tansey; his sister: Joyce Colvin, and husband Richard; and his brothers: Bill Cathcart, and wife Gail, and Gary Cathcart, and partner Connie. He is also survived by his nephews: Logan Colvin, Tanner Colvin, and James Owen; and his nieces: Sarah Cathcart, Jennifer Phipps, Jacinda Riess, Andrea Cathcart and Erin Cathcart; along with several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Cathcart and his sister, Jeanne Bell.
May Robert's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and peace to those who mourn his passing.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home at 2:00PM. Burial will be in Oberlin Cemetery. Condolence can be left at www.plumergobber.com.
