Elvin Ray Beneda

Elvin Ray Beneda, 82, passed away on March 1st, 2026 at the Good Samaritan in Oberlin, KS. Elvin was born on October 26th, 1943 in Oberlin, KS to Lloyd and Susie (Goltl) Beneda. He graduated from Decatur Community High School in 1961.

While in his senior year he joined the Nebraska National Guard, where he served for 5 years. Elvin was a member of the Oberlin United Methodist Church where he served on various committees. He was also in partnership farming and cattle feeding with his father and brother al of his life.

Elvin was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Susie Beneda and brother-in-law, Tom Burrell.

He was survived by his sister: Glenva Burrell of Max, NE; brother: Orlin Beneda of Oberlin, KS; niece: Karmin (Cliff) Church of Rapid City, SD; nephews: Monte (Julie) Burrell of Waunita, NE, Todd (Julie) Burrell of Benkelman, NE, Clay Burrell of Benkelman, NE and Clint Burrell of Parks, NE. He is also survived by 8 great nephews and nieces and 11 great great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held on March 5, 2026 at 1:00PM at Plumer-Gobber Funeral Home in Oberlin, KS. Visitation will be from 9:00AM-1:00PM on March 5. Burial will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.
