Robert Cedar Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Rudy Funeral Home on Sep. 5, 2023.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Scott Cedar, who entered into rest on August 23, 2023. Born on July 1, 1969, Robert's captivating personality and passion for life touched all who knew him. He always had a spot in his house for anyone in need.
Robert is survived by his loving mothers, Frances Peck, and Beatrice Phillips; his brothers, Matt Sheets and Jerry Drombowski; his sister, Christine Cedar; and his nieces, Jeana Cedar and Jesse Cedar. He also leaves behind his nephews, Earl Hensley and Dean Hankey, and his great nephew, Roman. He is predeceased by his father and brother, Robert Carl Cedar and Michael Cedar.
Rob also leaves behind his beloved daughter, Madisen Natasha Cedar. Rob was a devoted father to Maddie. He always found a way to support Maddie with her needs and passions as well. Rob would always share the great moments and memories he made with Maddie. He was very proud of all of her accomplishments.
Rob was a man of many interests and passions. Known for his exciting, warm, and outgoing personality, Rob was happiest when he was watching live shows or bringing people together through music - He was an avid advocate for local artists and volunteered much of his youth to preserving and adding support to the Detroit music scene. Rob held Hamtramck close to his heart. Its vibrancy, much like his own, was a source of joy and comfort for him. His contagious energy, paired with his love for gathering people together for music, left an indelible mark on all who knew him. It is this, his talent for fostering togetherness and joy, that stands as his enduring legacy. In addition to his love for music, Rob had found a new passion for kayaking and enjoying nature. He often spent his free time paddling down a river, playing some tunes and sharing his adventures with us via Facebook.
Rob was also a die-hard fan of the Lions. He would often be seen passionately supporting his team, his spirit never dampened by any or all losses they may have encountered. This will definitely be their year.
Despite Rob's departure from this world, his spirit will continue to live on through those who knew and loved him. His legacy of unity through music will echo in our hearts forever. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
In memory of Robert, let us celebrate his life the way he would have wanted: by coming together, sharing music, and creating memories. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered in our hearts and through the beautiful cadence of the music he so loved.
