Robert Chase Obituary
ALBANY - Robert P. Chase, born October 7, 1958, suddenly passed away at St. Peter's Hospital on December 10, 2025. Robert was born in Albany to the late Lloyd and Louise Chase.
He graduated from SUNY Albany, and was a craftsman specializing in photography, stained glass, fashion and costume design, jewelry, and holiday cards.
Robert and his beloved wife, Margaret ("Peggy") Smith, shared over 25 years together, traveling the world in search of beaches, sunsets, and diverse cultures.
In addition to his wife, Robert is survived by his brother, Raymond; his sister, Mary Zaremski (Michael "Z"); and his sister-in-law, Mary "Mitzi" Chase. He is also survived by a large extended group of family and friends.
Robert was predeceased by his parents; and his brother, Michael, who passed away only a month ago.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m., on Friday, December 19, 2025, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals. A Mass will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, 11 a.m., at Christ the King Church, 20 Sumter Ave., Albany.
