CLARK, Mr. Robert L. "Tuffy" - Age 61, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025, at his residence. Family hour 10:30 AM Saturday, July 26, 2025, from the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home, 906 W. Flint Park Blvd., with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Allen C. Overton Sr., officiating. Entombment Sunset Hills Cemetery G-4413 Flushing Rd. Friends and pallbearers will assemble at the funeral home 10:30 AM Saturday. Mr. Clark will lie in state in the Chapel of Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home and may be viewed from 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM Friday. Mr. Robert L. Clark, "Tuffy" as he was affectionally called was born October 27, 1963 in Flint, Michigan, the son of Joe L. and Vertis (Henderson) Clark. He graduated from Flint Northern High School, "Class of 1982." where he met the love of his life Delores Curtis in a social studies class where he bought her a snicker candy bar and some popcorn and they were inseparable from that moment on spending 45 years together. Robert was employed with Waste Management Inc, for 34 years, where he maintained a perfect driving record. Tuffy loved to watch TV with his favorite being old westerns and different series on Netflix. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren who filled his life with so much joy. Even though he was a man of very few words he had a way of making everyone feel special. Robert will be dearly missed for his unwavering love for his wife, daughters and grandchildren. Mr. Robert L. "Tuffy" Clark leaves to cherish his memory: loving wife of 34 years, Delores Clark of Flint; 3 daughters, Javonda Keith of Flushing, MI, Tara (Arthur) Gowdy and Shaquala (Dominique) Crayton, all of Flint; 6 grandchildren, Michael Banks II, Mykel Banks, both of Flushing, MI, Jordan Gowdy, Kennedi Crayton, Jaida Gowdy and Isaiah Crayton, all of Flint; 2 sisters, Barbara "Penny" Clark and Suzanne (Scott) Morgan; mother and father-in-law, Lois and Leroy Curtis; god-sister, Cheasha Hughes; 2 nieces, Tia Horne and A'Kayla Charles; 3 nephews, Dejujuan Nelson, Damonte Nelson and Jaylen Nelson; great-nephew, Deion Nelson; 2 aunts, Betty Green of Hattiesburg, MS and Emily Barker of Grand Rapids, MI; 2 uncles, Frank Clark and Daniel Clark, both of Union Church, MS; a host of cousins including special cousins, Kevin "Blue" McDaniel and Kenny Winfield; 7 sisters-in-law, Margaret Curtis, Theresa Curtis, Roslind (Omar) Cook, Angela Marshall, Andrea Owens, Patrice (Dana) Curtis and Roi "Von" Johnson; a host of other relatives and friends including his Strong Hold Crew: Alvin, Kerry, Jug and Ronald Nelson, Michael Banks, Mike Mason and Charles Drummer; special friends, Bruce Rodgis and Bert Washington. Mr. Clark was preceded in death by his parents, Joe L. and Vertis "Marie" Clark; grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins: best friends, Edward "EC" Nelson and Edgar "Billy" McNeal. The family would like to express special thanks to the 4th Floor ICU nurses at Hurley Medical Center, Hartland Hospice nurse, Michelle Haggard, Waste Management Co-Workers, Ricelor Humphrey, Oggie, Skippy, Bob and Adam, Lawrence E. Moon and Lawrence E. Moon Funeral Home Staff.
