Robert Lynn Clarkson, age 62, passed away on August 2, 2025, in Monroe, Louisiana. He was born on January 19, 1963, in Lake Charles, La.

Robert dedicated over 40 years of his life to working as a truck driver, known for his strong work ethic, dedication, and the quiet strength he brought to every mile. Whether on the road or at home, Robert always put his family first and lived a life marked by loyalty, kindness, and service to others.

He found joy in the simple things—hunting with his sons, working in the yard alongside his wife Becky, and spending time in the kitchen cooking with his family. A lover of fast cars and slower moments with his grandchildren, Robert was the heart of his home. Robert loved to talk and never met a stranger. He was a selfless man, always willing to lend a hand, and would give anyone the shirt of his back, expecting nothing in return.

Robert is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Becky Clarkson; sons, Bubba Clarkson, Brandon Clarkson, and Josh Clarkson; special daughter-in-law, Krista Clarkson; and son-in-law Cody Jones. He was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren—Sage, Kiera, Alyson, Aiden, Trysten, Emma, Bentley, Colston, Cayden, Destiney, Zayne, Emberlynn, Hutson, and Elle—and two great-grandchildren, Shai and Sadie, all of whom he adored.

He was preceded in death by his only daughter, Felicia Clarkson, whose memory he carried with him always.

Robert’s life was a testament to generosity, deep devotion, and unconditional love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew him.

Pallbearers will be Cody Jones, Carl Statham, Aiden Clarkson, Trysten Johnson, Josh Franklin, Dusty Boyett, Roam Weeks, and Steven Loftin.

Visitation will be held at Mulhearn Funeral Home on Highway 165 in Monroe, Louisiana, on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery.
