Born on January 21, 1970, in Ballinger, TX, Robert was a man whose life was defined by his unwavering commitment to his loved ones, his service to his country, and his passion for the simple joys in life. Robert was a proud veteran, having joined the navy in 1988. His service was marked by courage and dedication as he took part in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm, and he was honored as a Cold War Veteran. His time in the military was not just a job; it was a significant chapter in his life that shaped the man he became, instilling in him values of discipline, honor, and camaraderie. Throughout his life, Robert's interests were as varied as they were heartfelt. An avid fisherman, he found solace in the tranquility of the lakes and rivers, a pastime where he could reflect on life's simple pleasures. His passion for guns was another facet of his character, showcasing his appreciation for precision and skill in pursuits that he found both challenging and relaxing. To those who knew him, the words funny, loving, and gentle come to mind when remembering Robert. Robert was a cherished grandfather to Nathan, Braiden, Dustin, Haygen, Alana, Kyleigh, Mackenzie, Landun, Shaelynn, Michael, Matthew Jr., Cole, and Gilbert. Though his father Bobby and mother Juanita predeceased him, the legacy they left in Robert continues to live on. Robert's bond with his childhood friends Tommy Daniels, Dennis Cummings, and Darrel Engle was unbreakable. Their shared memories are a testament to a lifelong brotherhood that will be sorely missed.
