Mr. Robert Collins Jr.

Robert Collins, Jr. was a man of service, strength, and dedication whose life touched many through his compassion leadership, and unwavering faith. He was born on February 22nd 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri, to proud parents Robert Collins Sr. (preceded in death) and Dollie Small. Robert was a proud alumnus of Vashon High School, where he developed the discipline and perseverance that would guide him throughout his life.

He went on to build a long and respected career as a truck driver (34+years), known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to providing for his family. In addition to his professional career, Robert was an important contributor to the Christian Service Center (Bobs), where he faithfully served by helping and supporting homes through his position. His work reflected his deep faith, servant's heart, and genuine concern for the well-being of others. Robert's greatest passion was boxing. A disciplined and determined athlete, he proudly won the St. Louis Golden Gloves and later competed in the National Golden Gloves, earing admiration and respect for his strength,
perseverance, and sportsmanship. Robert also found great joy in cooking and bringing people together. He loved sharing meals with family and friends, and his favorite dishes- turkey necks and apple butter wings- aka his well known BBQ!!

Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and family man. He was united in marriage to his loving wife Cassandra Clay- Collins. He leaves to cherish his memory his children: RoShondra Collins (Laquanda), RoNesha Collins and DeAndre' Edwards (Kimberly) and five beloved grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life. Robert was preceded in his death by his father, Robert Collins Sr., his sister Alice Small, and his brother Gary Small. He is survived by his siblings: Leroy Small, Larry Small, James Small (Vinita), and Terry Small. He also leaves a loving extended family including Daniel Wallace, Calvin Wallace, Angela Wallace, Readie Wallace (Dre),
Theresa Wallace, and Ericka Williams, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousin, and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Robert's life was a reflection of faith, perseverance, and service to others. He believed in helping those in need, walking with integrity, and trusting God's plan through every season of life. Though he is longer with us in body, his spirit lives on through the love he shared, the lives he touched, and the example he set. We take comfort in knowing that Robert has heard the words. "Well done, good and faithful servant." He has laid down his burdens and entered into eternal rest, embraced by God's grace and everlasting peace. As Scripture reminds is "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18). May this promise bring comfort to all who mourn, and may Robert Collins Jr.'s legacy of faith, love and service continue to live on.
