Robert Cooley Obituary
Robert Lee Cooley, 63, of Oak Harbor, OH passed away surrounded by his family on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Arbors of Oregon. He was born on August 29, 1960 in Sandusky, OH to Leroy and Ada (Jones) Cooley. Robert was a 1980 graduate of Sandusky High School.
Robert married Mary A. Michaels on March 11, 1983 in Fremont, OH. He worked for First Choice for many years. Robert was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed taking long walks and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Robert is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Mary Cooley, Oak Harbor, OH; sons, Robert Kyle Cooley, Marion, OH, Jasper Lee (Josh) Cooley, Fremont, OH; grandchildren, Omar Cooley, Trinity Cooley, Harmony Cooley; siblings, Shirley Cooley, Sandusky, OH, Darnell (Charissa) Cooley, Tiffin, OH, Karen Jones, Sandusky, OH, Mary (Wayne) Pickens, Pickerington, OH, Leon (Lora) Cooley, Avon Lake, OH, Lisa Folconer, Cleveland, OH, Tracy Cooley, Sandusky, OH and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Leroy Cooley, Jr.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Wonderly Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 425 E. State St, Fremont, OH 43420.
A Memorial Service will take place following the visitation, beginning at 1:00 pm at the funeral home with Pastor Tim Wisehart officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date at McGormley Cemetery.
Memorials can be made in Robert’s honor to his family.
