68 year old, Robert L. Cooper Jr., of Wheatfield, Indiana, passed away September 16, 2024, at his home.
On February 8, 1956, Robert was born in East Chicago, Indiana, to Robert Cooper Sr., and Darlene (Guthrie) Sechiest. He married the lover of his life, Diana Gonzalez, on June 30, 1989, in East Chicago, Indiana. Robert worked as a Switchman in the Steel Mill for 35 + years. He liked to hunt deer, fish, do yard work and garden.
Robert is survived by his wife: Diana, children: Tiffine Lane, Bobbie Ann Cooper, and son-in-law: Cory (Luz) Curtis, his mother: Darlene Sechiest, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, siblings: William (Susan) Cooper, Vickie (Clarence) Rust, Terri (George) Harding, and Linda (Jack) Wheeler.
Robert was preceded in death by his father: Robert Sr.
Per Robert’s wishes cremation will take place.
