Robert "Bob" Donald Cota, age 67, of Grand Ridge, FL passed away on Friday, September 26, 2025 at Marianna Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Bob was born on August 1, 1958 in North Adams, Massachusetts to the late Donald and Margaret Cota. Bob enlisted in the United States Army at the age of 17 and served his country for six years. After serving his country, Bob became the maintenance supervisor at the Bonifay Nursing and Rehabilitation Center until retirement. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, listening to classic rock music, and enjoyed taking his 2007 Corvette on long drives. In 2020, Bob married Doris Harrell Cota in Donaldsonville, GA. Bob was a proud Trump supporter and was eager to help him get elected any way he could. Bob will be missed dearly by his family and beloved dog, PooPoo.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lee Cota; sister, Venus Cota, and stepson, Joseph Marcus Maulden.

Bob is survived by his wife, Doris Cota of Grand Ridge, FL; sons, Jason Cota, Matthew Cota both of Milton, FL; stepdaughter, Sharon Traylor and husband, Lee of Donalsonville, GA; brothers, Eric Cota and wife, Rodeira of Pensacola, FL, Kirt Cota of Pensacola, FL; step grandchildren, Wade Basford (Caitlin) of Dellwood, FL, Delaney Boles (Ariel) of Port St. Lucie, FL, Kaden Traylor of Troy, AL, Tyler Traylor (Bethany) of Havana, FL; as well as his great grandchildren, Dean Basford and Parker Traylor.

Funeral services will be 2 P.M., Monday, September 29, 2025 at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Reverend Calvin Clemmons officiating. Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends for a time of fellowship from 1 P.M. until the time of service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.

Interment will take place following the service at Cypress Cemetery.

Those serving as pallbearers will be: Lee Traylor, Wade Basford, Tyler Traylor, Kaden Traylor, Glen Harrell and Greg Connor.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Lambe Family at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
