Robert L. Craley

Robert L. "Butch" Craley, 67, entered into rest on Monday, March 2, 2026, at his home.

Born September 18, 1958, in York, Butch was the son of the late Marlin E. Craley and Evelyn Mae (Gross) Myers. He was a proud 1976 graduate of William Penn High School in York.

Butch spent much of his life working as a truck driver, a job that suited his hardworking nature and independent spirit. For several years he also operated the Yorktowne Cabinet Outlet in Emigsville. In more recent years, he found meaningful work with The ARC as an in-home care aide, where he provided support, kindness, and companionship to elderly and disabled individuals.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserves and was proud to be involved with Marine Toys for Tots. Butch was also a member of the Rooster Club. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, but nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his family-especially his son and grandsons, who meant the world to him.

Butch is survived by his loving son, Lee Craley and his wife, Meredith, and his two cherished grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.

A celebration of Butch's life will be held by the family at a later date in private.
