The son of the late Chalmers G. Crawford and Catherine A. (Maloney) Crawford was born in Brockton on April 23, 1953. Raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School.
Robert enlisted in the Air Force and was trained as an airline mechanic and he highly valued his service to his country. Robert enjoyed traveling, fishing and hunting and will be remembered by many for his unique sense of humor.
He was a devoted bother to William Crawford, Charles Crawford and James Crawford. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the brother of the late Brian Crawford, JoAnn (Wiesner) Crawford, John Crawford and Catherine Griffin.
A service honoring the life of Robert will be held at the National Cemetery in Bourne, MA. Future date and time to be provided.
