Bob and I served together military in Phoenix, AZ. We had an excellent working relationship, and I will always consider him a friend and comrade in arms. We had many good times serving together. When times got interesting, we shared a running personal joke. From a book about aerial observers in Vietnam, I would say to him, "We go now?" and he would laugh.
Bob, We go now", MAJ Mike

To Robert's Family,

Please accept my condolences and reflections on the untimely and heartbreaking passing of Robert.

Even though I considered Robert to be my "cousin twin" since we both had the same first name and were born only 12 days apart, Robert on June 26 and myself on June 14, unfortunately our paths crossed only once in all this intervening time when he stopped to visit my family in Avoca, NY sometime in the "late" 1960s. My recollection is that he was attending the Rochester Institute of Tecnology in Rochester, NY and we were on his route from his home in NJ. I wish that we had known each other better.

He had a very successful life and carriers and I know that you all miss him immensely. May you be comforted in your memories of Robert's time with you.

With heartfelt sympathy for your loss,

Robert F Spaulding
