Robert Crosby Obituary

Ashville Robert W. Crosby, age 94, of Ashville, passed away on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He was born May 6, 1931, in Laurelville, OH to the late Amos Howard and Clarissa (Cook) Crosby. Robert worked at the Armor Packing Plant in Columbus before spending many years in the concrete business with the Pettibone family. He enjoyed hunting and trapping and had a deep love for raising animals, especially his cattle at the farm on Hoover Road.

Robert was preceded by his parents; wife of 53 years, Donna Edith (Donaldson) Crosby; sons, Ralph and Roger; daughter, Joy Hinton; brothers, Herman, Verman, Earle and Pearle Crosby; sister, Frances Costlow.

He is survived by his sons, Ron Crosby, Bob (Vicki) Crosby, Rick (Jenny) Crosby, all of Ashville and Randy Crosby, of Stoutsville; numerous grandchildren, too many to count; many great-grandchildren and a few great-great-grandchildren; as well as, many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 17, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., and again one hour prior to the funeral service on Saturday, October 18, at 10:00 a.m., at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, OH 43103. Burial will follow at Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield, OH. Robert W. Crosby
