Columbiana- Robert F. Dailey, Sr., 75, of Columbiana, passed away early Saturday afternoon, March 1, 2025, at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.
Robert was born on June 14, 1949, in Salem, Ohio, the son of William N. and Estella V. (McCoy) Dailey and had been an area resident all his life.
A 1969 graduate from Columbiana High School, Bob worked at NRM in Columbiana, Youngstown Sheet and Tube, Columbiana Boiler, Lyle Gwin Contracting Co. as a heavy equipment mechanic, Earl Corey Co., Lear Seating in Lordstown as an assembler, and Intier Seating, also in Lordstown. He was a member of the UAW Local 1112, the Beaver Creek Sportsman Club in Washingtonville and the Mahoning Valley Knife Collectors Association. He enjoyed NASCAR and showing his antique cars, including his 1940 red Chevy. Bob also liked to spend time outdoors, hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He married the former Mary 'Tina' Morelli on July 27, 1968, and was raised Methodist.
Robert leaves to cherish his precious memory his daughter and caregiver, Shannon (fiancé Mark Feezle) Dailey of New Waterford; two grandsons, Jared (Alexis) Houser of New Waterford and Derek Houser of New Springfield; great granddaughter Winter 'Wini' and great grandson Everett 'Ever'. He also leaves a brother James of Columbiana, a brother-in-law, Daniel Morelli, and sisters-in-law Evelyn Dailey and Valerie (Steven) Miller, and his cat Timmy, which was his buddy and constant companion.
Besides his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife Mary, who passed away on September 30, 2012, his son Robert Dailey, Jr., who passed away on December 5, 2021, and brothers Ed, William, Harry and John Dailey.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 10, 2025, at Seederly-Mong and Beck Funeral Home, 154 S. Elm Street, Columbiana with Pastor Phil Bartholomew officiating.
Friends may call from 2 – 6 p.m. Sunday, March 9, 2025, and also one hour prior to the services, 10 – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations may be made to The Way Station Food Pantry, 769 Springfield Rd., Columbiana, OH 44408 and Project MKC (Making Kids Count), 6961 Southern Blvd., Suite A., Boardman, OH 44512 (project mkc.org).
The family has entrusted the Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in Columbiana with the arrangements.
