Robert Darling, 71, of Kingston, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Health Alliance Hospital in Kingston, NY surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on January 13, 1953, in Kingston, NY and was the son of the late William Darling and Elinor King. Rob was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1971, and later received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Stetson University in 1975.
Robert worked for Dick's Sporting Goods, Kingston, NY, where he was a golf tech and shared his knowledge and passion for golf with customers. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at the Twaalfskill Club, especially hole 2. Rob also enjoyed watching the Yankees and the Giants play each season. He could often be found at his favorite restaurant, 99 Restaurants where he was a frequent diner and enjoyed participating in trivia night.
He is survived by his sister Constance, sons, Hamilton (Danielle) and William Darling, and his grandchildren Alistair and Eleanor Darling.
Arrangements entrusted to Keyser Funeral & Cremation Service, Inc., 326 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401, where family and friends may visit on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm.
