Family and friends will gather on Monday March 23, at 12:00 PM.

A funeral service will begin at 12:30 PM.

Burial will follow at Montrepose Cemetery, immediately following a repast will follow at River of Life Church, 119 Barbarossa Lane, Kingston, NY.

November 29, 1960 – March 11, 2026

Pennie K. McCargo, a true free spirit whose presence brought light and individuality to those around her, passed away on March 11, 2026.

Born on November 29, 1960, Pennie was a proud graduate of Kingston High School and went on to attend SUNY Albany, where she studied Business Administration. She lived life on her own terms, embracing her journey with a spirit that was uniquely her own.

Pennie will be remembered for her infectious smile and laughter. She shared a special bond with her sisters, Kim (Donald) Mapes and Michelle, and leaves behind memories that will be cherished forever.

She is lovingly remembered by her nephews, Donti and LaVarr (Marquita); her nieces, Keyana (John) Patterson and Shaniqua Love; along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and cousins who will carry her memory forward.

She was predeceased by her beloved brother, Eugene, and her parents, Gene and Charles.
Pennie's life, though marked by its own path, leaves a lasting imprint on all who knew and loved her. Her memory will continue to live in the hearts of her family and all who encountered her along the way.

In honor of Pennie's life, contributions may be made to the "Pennie's from Heaven" Memorial Fund. (TBD) Pennie's spirit is free, and her memory will forever remain with us.
