Robert Daum

Robert G. Daum, 85, of Plainfield, passed away surrounded by loving family members on September 27, 2025. He was born on February 11, 1940 in Indianapolis to the late Horace and Ruth Daum. Bob was the owner of Daum Trucking starting in 1958. Bob was a lifelong farmer in Hendricks County and in Iowa as well. He enjoyed working and taking family vacations to Minnesota. Bob loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He belonged to the Plainfield Elks #2186, Plainfield Eagles #3207, American Legion #145 and was a lifetime member of the NRA. Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Daum; son, Michael Daum; siblings, Mary Louise Coleman, James Daum, Horace Daum, Howard Daum, Russell Daum, Linda Marie English and Melvin Daum. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 5, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in St. Susanna Catholic Church (1210 E. Main street, Plainfield, IN 46168). Funeral services will be Monday, October 6, 2025 in the church at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. Survivors include his sons, Doug (Karen) and Mark (Lisa) Daum; grandchildren, Jonathon (Nikki) Daum, Betsy Daum, Brian Daum, Mark Daum II, Jack (Morgan) Daum, Katie Daum, Mikey Daum and Zachary Daum; great grandchildren, Landon Thompson and Charlotte Daum.
