Robert Davies Obituary
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 27th at 12:00 PM at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, with Father Kirby as celebrant. He will be laid to rest in the church columbarium.
Born on October 15, 1944, in Garfield Heights, OH, Robert was the son of the late Leonard William and Virginia Louise (Bostwick) Davies. He graduated from Kent State University in 1967 with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture, a field in which he applied his creativity and keen eye for design throughout his career.
Robert was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who found his greatest joy in his family. He shared 47 wonderful years with his beloved wife, Eileen (Eberl) Davies. Together, they built a life filled with love, faith, and laughter. He was a proud and supportive father to his children, James Robert Davies (Hannah Kay Herdlinger), Phillip Albert Davies, and Mark Francis Davies (Cindy Pearce). His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Emma Frances, Olivia Joy, and Evelyn James, who adored their grandfather and his ability to make them laugh. He is also survived by his brother, Richard Davies (Bonnie).
A man of strong faith, Robert was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He expressed his love for music by playing the trumpet at church services and as a member of the Reflections Big Band. An avid golfer, he found great joy both on the course and as an ambassador for the Wells Fargo Golf Championship. He also had a deep appreciation for all live sports, often found watching and cheering from home. His passion for service extended to his role as Cub Master for Pack 12, where he guided and mentored young scouts.
Robert's warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith touched all who knew him. His memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of his family and friends.
