Robert "Bob" Lee Davis, 93, of Benton Harbor passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph.
Bob was born on July 16, 1932, in Canalou, Mo., to the late Archie and Vakle (Livingston) Davis.
On June 19, 1955, in Galien, he married Joyce Elaine Roundy; she preceded him in death on June 23, 2020. Bob is survived by children: Rick Davis of Benton Harbor, Diane (Glenn) Shaltis of Howell, Mich., Bryan (Judy) Davis of Coloma, and Ronda (Don) Goulooze of St. Joseph; grandchildren: Aaron (Katherine) Davis, David (Patsy) Shaltis, Amy Shaltis, Karla Tacy, Blake (Diana Sanchez) Davis, Devin Goulooze and Shawn (Kaitlin) Goulooze; great-grandchildren: Berkeley, Willow, Emma, Joseph, David, Sofia, Jaime and Emmett.
He is also preceded in death by his brother, Charles Davis and a sister, Marie Harwood.
Bob moved to Southwest Michigan with his family when he was about 10 years old. He started his career in plumbing in the early 1950s and worked for O'Toole Plumbing. He started Bob Davis Plumbing and Heating in 1966 and took great pride in growing the business with Joyce's help and support. He worked as a plumber alongside his son Bryan until he was 85. Bob enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and going to his property – Camp 5 – in the Upper Peninsula. He took great pride in a hard day's work and didn't stop until his health declined in the fall of 2025.
The family wishes to acknowledge Char Klotz for her dedication to Bob and Joyce for 38 years. We could not have taken such good care of our parents without her.
Visitation with the family will be from 9-10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, at Starks & Menchinger Chapel in St. Joseph. A celebration of life service is at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial follows in North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma.

So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a friend of my father, Harold (Sonny) Harris. My Grandparents, The Shoffs, had a home near theirs on Swan lake.
