Robert is predeceased by his parents Margaret and Edward Derka. He is survived by his children Abigail
Derka and her husband Victor Hanby, Lorilee Serio and her husband Michael Serio, Robert Derka and his
wife Sheila Derka, Anthony Derka and his wife Suzana Derka, grandchildren Michael Serio and wife
Amanda Serio, Jeffery Serio, Melissa Butera and husband Alfonso Butera, John Serio, Rebecca Derka,
Jennifer Derka, Christina Vaughn, Giana Derka, Anthony Derka, great grandchildren James Serio, Gia
Serio and Christopher Serio, brother Edward Derka, sister Stephanie and husband James Schmidt, and
sister Rita Graham, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
Robert loved his family. His favorite time of the year was getting together with his family for the annual Derka Christmas party. Robert was a friend to all and enjoyed talking to everyone. He was also a big animal lover and enjoyed caring for them.
