Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, Inc. - New Rochelle on Jul. 29, 2024.
Robert (Bob) DiBuono
April 29, 1929 – July 27, 2024
Born and raised in New Rochelle, NY. Pre-deceased by his parents Frank & Maria DiBuono, 4 brothers, Joseph, Dominick, Frank and Johnny DiBuono and son-in-law Paul Sarachelli. Survived by his beloved wife Joan DiBuono, children Robert (Jeannie), Donald (Diane), Richard (Eliana), Maria, Philip (Sue), 13 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and one on the way. He was an entrepreneur for many years as the owner of the Greenville Diner, and then was famously known for owning Grabel's Luncheonette in New Rochelle. Also known as "Ace", his hobbies and loves were baseball, golf, hunting and gardening. A top baseball player, proudly being inducted into the New Rochelle Sports Hall of Fame in Oct. 2000. A proud veteran. His greatest joy was the family he and the love of his life Joan created. Married 72 years, forever devoted to each other. His family and legacy will live on forever in our hearts. Visiting hours will be Tuesday 4-8pm. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday 10:30am at Holy Name Church. Interment will be private.
