Robert "Bobby" Dixon

Robert "Bobby" Dixon age 71, passed away Jan. 19, 2026. He was the son of the late Harold and Edith "Sis" Dixon. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law Danny Wilson.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Rita Dixon, two sons Tivris Dixon (Marla), Jordan Dixon (Samantha), brother Mike Dixon (Liz), grandchildren Coleman, Hallie, Cord, and Harper, nephews Chad Dixon (Dena) and their son Walker, Jesse Harold Dixon (Samantha), Daniel Wilson (Katie) and daughter Addyson Blake, nieces Maci (Chris) and Charlie Jaye, Whitney (Jeffery) and Sallie Lee, uncles Russell Dixon (Lois), aunt Betty Coleman, mother in law Alice Wilson, cousins Pat Coleman, Mick Coleman, Cindy Jarrard (Jeff) Steve Coleman, Becky Farmer (Danny), Pam Speed (Greg), Sonya Defore, and sister in law Pam Watts (Terry).
Bobby was a beloved husband, father, uncle and Paw Paw. He enjoyed watching football and attending his grandchildren's sporting events -- calf shows, dance recitals, and concerts. He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and graduated high school in 1972 with 12 years of perfect attendance. After graduating, he attended North Georgia Technical College which he graduated with a degree in small appliance repair. At the age of 19, he bought a share of Dairy Queen and worked until 2005. He was also a Poultry Engineer for Fieldale Farms. He was a 45-year member of the Rabun Gap Masonic Lodge 265 (F&AM). He was raised to Master Mason on March 20, 1981. He was initiated to EA on Jan. 23, 1991. He went through his degrees quickly. He was the Worshipful Master in 1986. He was also a coach and mentor to many in the Rabun Gap Lodge 265 (F&AM).
The family received friends at Beck Funeral Home on Wednesday Jan. 21, 2026, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. A Celebration of Life was held on Thursday Jan. 22, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the Beck Funeral Home Chapel with Masonic Rights and Tim Hunnicutt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Rabun Gap Lodge 265 Scholarship Po Box 1443 Clayton, GA, 30525.
