Robert Alan Dobbs

A Graveside Funeral service and Interment for Robert Alan Dobbs, 63, will be Friday, December 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Lebanon Cemetery with Bro. Randy Ashley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Dobbs passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Summerford Nursing Home. He was born November 30, 1962, in Morgan County, to William "Bill" Dobbs and Judy Carol Barkley Dobbs.

Alan made a profession of faith at an early age at Lebanon Baptist Church. After graduating from Hartselle High School, Alan went on to study Business Administration and Psychology at Athens State College. Alan was a talented Corporate Event Planner, and he loved creating and producing events from large corporate parties to small family gatherings. Later in life, he pursued his passion for cooking and for the food service industry by graduating from Culinary School. He was happiest when he was preparing and enjoying a good meal with family and friends. He also loved spending time traveling and spending time with his rescue dog, Hoss, who was his loyal companion.

Alan is survived by his loving parents, Judy and Bill Dobbs and brother, Christopher Barkley Dobbs.

Pallbearers will be Phillip Lee, Scott Morris, David Sherrill, Tom Dobbs, and Brad Lee.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Gideon's International.
