Robert Earl Douglas, (Bobby) age 67, passed away on July 14, 2025, in Palestine TX. He was born on October 18, 1957, in Somerville, MA. His parents were William R Douglas and Antonia Villatora Douglas.
Preceding him in death was his father William R Douglas and his mother Antonia Villatora Douglas.
Survivors are: His wife of 12 years Maureen A Douglas, his sister Susanna and Bruce Mitchell, his brothers: William R Douglas Jr., Michael Douglas and wife Cindy, Steve Douglas and wife Jerrie, and Mark Douglas. Also, his son Preston Scott Douglas. He had several stepchildren and nieces and nephews. Also, cousins and extended family.
Bobby went to Jacksonville high school. He worked for TDCJ and retired. Then, went to work for Norman Salvation Army in Norman OK. He then returned to Jacksonville.
He was passionate about raising special chickens. He loved to play pool and be in tournaments. He had so much fun singing karaoke on stage and enjoying life with Friends. He was a happy go lucky kind of person who would help anyone and never met a stranger.. His family and friends meant so much to him along with his dog.
Bobby will be cremated at Boren-Conner Funeral Home.
There will be a memorial service on July 26, 2025, at 11 am.

Officiating is Michael Bobbitt..
We welcome people to come and tell memories about Bobby.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society.
