A Requiem Mass (Latin Liturgy for Catholic Burial) will be celebrated for Robert Gillen DuBos, at 12 noon on Friday July 18, 2025, at St Agnes Catholic Church, visitation will begin at 10:00 am until time of the service. Inurnment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy, Garden of Peace. All are invited to attend
Mr. DuBos was born in New Orleans on August 11, 1930, and passed peacefully from this life on Wednesday July 2, 2025, at the age of 94 years.
He was preceded in death by Parents- Clarence J. and Mattie Gillen DuBos. Brothers- Clarence Jr. (Dottie), Marvin (Anne), Danny Dee, Mickey (Ann), Tommy. First wife- Syble Spearman Olson. Grandson- John Paul DuBos.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Brown DuBos, Sons, Bobby Jr. (Heather) DuBos, Timothy (Gail) DuBos, Patrick (Linda) DuBos, James (Tricia) DuBos, Marc DuBos, and Daughter Denise DuBos. Sisters Jackie De Boisblanc, and Julie (Larry) Meese, Patricia S. DuBos and many friends.
Grandchildren include Briana (Dr. Tyler Boudreaux), Kayla (Derek Sanderson), Charlie, Jon, Isabella, and Matthew DuBos. Chris (Jen) DuBos, and Sally (Trevor) Whitman. Bruce DuBos. Michelle (Andy) Muzzin and Nicole Simson.
Great Grandchildren include Rosie Boudreaux, Marley, Samson and Nora Sanderson, Barrett, Colter, Grace and Nolynn DuBos, and Owen, Eleanor and Harrison Whitman.
He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School New Orleans, in 1947. He was co-owner of Clarence J. DuBos and Sons, Owner of Sailin’ Stuff and retired from Louisiana State University Residential Life Services.
Served with the U.S. Army Veteran with Army Security Services in Germany 1947 – 1950.
A member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, a 3rd degree member of Knights of Columbus Council 969, a member of the Latin Liturgy Association and a weekly adorer in the perpetual adoration chapel of Our Lady of Mercy and St. Agnes Catholic churches for many years.
He was a woodworker of religious items, an Icon Artist of over 250 Byzantine Icons and repairer and restorer of over 300 religious statues.
