Robert "Bob" Dunagan, Sr.
January 21, 1957- May 24, 2024
Bob Dunagan, 67, of Olney Springs, CO passed away Friday May 24, 2024, peacefully in his home with his wife by his side.
Bob was born the 3rd of four kids to Henry (Buck) Edward Dunagan and Albert Ann Samuels in Tulsa, OK.
Bob found his forever when he met his wife, Chrissy. They became an instant family. Bob had 3 kids from his previous marriage and together they had five more kids. Bob was so proud of his family and loved them with his whole heart. Bob and Chris would have celebrated their 41st anniversary in June.
Bob retired as a Water Technician in 2015. After retirement he enjoyed his time with his wife, kids and grandkids. He got to play his guitars more and tinker in his yard. He also enjoyed the local auctions and thrifting with his wife. You could always find Bob with a smile on his face, favorite coffee cup in hand and playing with his grandkids.
Bob had many hobbies in his life, but his true passion was playing guitar. He played in multiple bands around southeast Colorado. His collection of guitars was one that could have been in a museum. He loved showing them off and teaching his grandkids how to play.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Christine Dunagan; children, Robert "Bobby" Keith Dunagan, Jr. and wife Jill Henderson of Ordway, CO; Lisa and Charles Anderson of Tulsa, OK; William "B.J" Dunagan of LaJunta, CO; Christine "Tina" and Terrance Sims of Elko, NV; Tommy and Raelyn Dunagan of Holly, CO; Henry and Zuriko Dunagan of Pueblo, CO; Heather and Jackie Aragon of Olney Springs, CO; Marianne Dunagan of Pueblo, CO; Ashley Martin of OK; Amanda and Kent Andrews of OK; grandchildren, Kaitlin, Reece, Keith, Emily, Brody, Brittney, Patrick, George, Chole, Jozeph, Taelor, Wynona, Forrest, July, Jentry, Brayzen, Blayze, Olivia, Case, Raidin, Amara, Oakland, Claudia, Dominic, Alivia, Jason, Jordan, Julian, Jeremiah, JayLynn, Esparanza, Jesus, Marissa, Clarissa, Mattias, Landon, and Tyler; 3 great-granddaughters and numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Kathy Sue Dunagan of Pueblo, CO and brother, Michael and Patricia Dunagan of Ordway, CO. Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Buck Dunagan and Ann Samuels; sister, Margret Brown; daughter, Cassie Dunagan; grandsons, Lamon Smith & Jacob Andrew; and nephew Michael Freyta.
God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he put his arms around you, and whispered "come to me". With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
