Robert W. Durmon

Robert W. Durmon, age 81, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 08, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family. Robert was born January 5, 1942, in Bivins, Texas, to Noah and Della Lee Durmon. He was retired from Lone Star Ammunition Plant and was a member of Laws Chapel Methodist Church. He enjoyed watching westerns, and listening to country music. Robert loved to garden and was also good at electrical and mechanic work.
He was preceded in death by his son, Curtis Durmon, grandson, Christopher Parker Durmon; and his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Gaye Durmon of Atlanta, Texas; daughter, Tina Rapp and husband Brian Sr. of Atlanta, Texas; brother, William "Bud" Durmon of Atlanta, Texas; sisters, Dorothy Trenado and husband Virgil of Atlanta, Texas, Bonnie Armstrong of The Woodlands, Texas; five grandchildren, Andrew Thomas, Rebecca Thomas, Marlee Durmon, Brian Rapp Jr., Kiley Rapp; and a number of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Laws Chapel Methodist Church, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Rev. Mike Akin officiating.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 11, 2023, from 1 pm to 2 pm at Laws Chapel Methodist Church.
Interment will be in Laws Chapel Cemetery.
