Robert Echols

Robert Lee Echols, known affectionately as Robert or Red, was born on October 22, 1947, in Franklin, GA. His enthusiasm was contagious, and he never met a stranger. The world lost a little of its brightness when he passed away on October 19, 2024, just shy of his 77th birthday. Robert was a man of many talents and interests. His professional life as an electrician was a testament to his hard work and dedication. He loved watching football (UGA and TN), westerns, and wrestling. But his true joy came from the time spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. He was so proud of all his family and loved them dearly. Robert leaves behind his beloved wife of 27 years, Margaret Echols, and a large, loving family. His surviving children are Annie (Alan) Niederhauser, Aprile Skidmore, Laura Jane (Tim) Hilton, Evan (Kylie) Echols, Chris (Caylee) Echols, Ben (Holly) Echols, Baylis (Melissa) Young, Earle Young (Candi), Collins (Renee) Young, 22 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren. Bob (Lila) Mader, John (Eileen) Mader and Sharon (Ken) Kaloczi are special family members he cherished. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hinman Echols and Virginia Breed and his brother Larry Echols. As we remember Robert, let us honor his life by cherishing our loved ones, celebrating each day, and never forget to lend a helping hand.
