Bob was born in Rutland, VT. The son of the late Robert Eddy Sr. and his wife Elizabeth Eddy (Lawson). Bob went to Christ the King elementary school. and then to Mount St. Joseph high school in VT. While in school, Bob would often work with his father in his vending business. So much so that he went to work with his father for 17 years after graduation.
During this time Bob grew to love playing pinball. Bob heard about a tournament at Funspot in NH and thought he would like to attend. Bob won the tournament that year. That influenced his life and in later years he moved to Meredith, where he used his skill that his father taught him to land his dream job at Funspot in the weirs. He enjoyed working there for the next 23 years until his disabilities would no longer allow him to work. A few years later Bob moved to Golden View Nursing home. and several years later moved on to St. Frances Nursing Home.
Bob was a gentle giant at heart, he was the most generous man, helping countless family's, unknown to many, Bob often gave to local food pantry's, Thanksgiving dinners, Easter baskets for children, Backpacks and school supplies, and many other charities around the world. Bob maintained close friendships over the years. Bob loved the trips he was able to take, First back to Vermont, and New York. But he loved Maine beach most of all. He would invite his friends to join him. He also enjoyed all the fine restaurants along the Maine coast. Late afternoon you could always catch him on the porch at Kennebunk waving at all the people and tour buses. Bob will truly be missed by many.
Bob is predeceased by his parents and his brother Billy Eddy. He is survived by his only remaining brother, Tom Eddy of DE. He also leaves many good friends that he crossed paths with over the years.
