Bobby Edrozo was born on February 8, 1987 in Texas City, Texas and passed away on April 28, 2025 at the home of his parents, Larry and Sue Edrozo in Texas City.
Bobby graduated from Texas City High School in 2005 participating in various activities including band where he served as drum captain.
From there, he enrolled at Stephen F. Austin State University and graduated with a B.A. in Political Science in 2010. He was active in student government, residence hall government, and was instrumental in the re-chartering of Delta Tau Delta fraternity. It was through student government that he was able to bring Kinky Friedman to campus during his gubernatorial campaign.
Bobby then went on to receive his M.A. in Public Administration from the University of Houston and was hired by the City of Houston as a Staff Analyst in the Public Works Department.
He met the love of his life, Rebecca Cansler, at a political function and convinced her to marry him on February 25, 2017 in Clear Lake, TX. They purchased a home in League City, and shortly thereafter, welcomed Laura Elena Edrozo into the world on October 9, 2021.
Besides work life and time with his family, Bobby enjoyed cooking, brewing his own beer, and became a seasoned Trivia Master for Geeks Who Drink.
Bobby was preceded in death by his sister, Laura Sue Edrozo, his paternal grandparents, Eddie and Helen Edrozo, his maternal grandparents, Harry and Nelle Leach, and his uncles Steve and Joe Edrozo.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his loving wife Rebecca, daughter Laura, his Aunt Lisa and Aunt Brenda, his mother in law Leona Mitchell, and cousins and friends. He also leaves behind his devoted dog Copper.
A visitation will be held at Carnes Funeral Home in Texas City, TX on Thursday, May 1 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at First Baptist Church in Texas City on Saturday, May 3 at 10:00AM followed by a Committal Service at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson, both officiated by Pastor Richard Kleiman. A reception will commence after the Committal Service back at First Baptist Church.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Choice Hospice, including Stacey Hoffman and Nescie Mitchell, who supported Bobby's care.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Bayou Animal Services in Dickinson.
