Robert Earl Edwards, 82, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2024. He loved working on cars and in his younger years, had enjoyed racing them. Bob always liked working alongside of and supervising his "boys" as they continued his tree service business. He had several interests that included fishing, traveling, playing guitar and also occasionally gambling.
He was born on April 16, 1942 in Greensburg, Kentucky to Carlie and Evelyn Edwards. Along with his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Millie (Smith) Edwards; and nine siblings.
Bob is survived by his children, Debbie Mayfield (Dr. Chuck), Michael Pulliam; step-children, Earl Smith (Alice), Wilma Caudill (Louis), Lester Smith (Paula), Eugene Smith (Wanda); eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jimmie Edwards; and several generations of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) with his funeral service taking place at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Utica.
