Robert Egbert

Robert F. Egbert, age 79, of Milton, Delaware, passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Beebe Healthcare in Lewes, Delaware, following a long battle with congestive heart failure.

Robert was born on February 12, 1946, in Washington, D.C., the son of the late Francis J. Egbert and Ebba (Elmgreen) Egbert.

He was married to his beloved wife, Linda (Nadeau) Egbert, with whom he shared many happy years. Robert spent much of his career in the automobile industry, working for many years in various roles and most recently as a consultant.

Robert loved playing golf, especially enjoying time on the course with his wife Linda and his friends from the Indian River Golf Group. His passion for the game was matched only by his love for family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Egbert; his daughter, Jennifer Fenwick; his son, Justin Egbert (Andi); his stepdaughter, Kelly Rothering (David); and his stepson, William Brant (Tracy). He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren: Sierra, Stevie, Shai, Sage, Justin, Joshua Fenwick, Lily and Cooper Rothering, Nathan and Natalee Brant; and his great-grandchildren: Adrian Dupree, Aeyla Muojeke, and Julius Fenwick.

In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his grandson, Parker Rothering.
