Robert "Kevin" Ensley, born on July 28, 1965, in Asheville, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2026, in Weaverville. He was a remarkable individual, known for his generous spirit and deep love for his family.
Kevin was a passionate reader and an avid collector of comic books, which reflected his vibrant imagination and creativity. His artistic talent was evident in his gifted ability to draw, bringing joy to all around him with his creative expressions.
A devoted family man, he cherished the time spent with his loved ones. Kevin's warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on those who knew him, and he was recognized as someone who was always ready to lend a helping hand. His strong faith played a significant role in his life, providing guidance and comfort through its teachings.
He is survived by his brother, Bill Ensley and his wife Pamela; cousins, Chris Buckner and his wife Mindy Evans, and Jared Payne and his wife Catherine; as well as many extended family members who will remember him fondly.
Kevin was preceded in death by his beloved parents, John William Ensley, Jr. and Sandra Kay Buckner.
A small family service will be held in the Spring to celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to a favorite charity of your choice.
His legacy of love, creativity, and giving will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
