Robert Charles Eynard, age 80 of Jefferson City, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at SSM Health St. Mary’s in Jefferson City.
Robert was born August 20, 1942, in Bonnots Mill, a son to the late Albin and Alvina (Bonnot) Eynard.
He was a 1960 graduate of Fatima High School. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
On September 6, 1969, he was united in marriage to Peggy Senevey at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. She survives at their home.
Robert farmed the family farm in Frankenstein and was a rural mail carrier for Frankenstein, Bonnots Mill, Loose Creek and Westphalia area for over 30 years. It was the same route that his father had driven for 47 years.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing cards especially Preference, gardening, raising peanuts and cooking. Robert was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Robert was a man that never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. He was a dedicated man who was always available to help another person and his family was very important to him. His motto in life “have a great day and a better tomorrow”.
In addition to his spouse of 53 years, he is survived by three children, Velvet Meers and her husband Jeff of Jefferson City, Rachelle LeCure of Ashland, and Douglas Eynard and his partner Michael Paul of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Abby and Grace LeCure, Jacob, Tyler and Logan Meers; one brother-in-law, Bob Schepker of Jefferson City; a sister-in-law, Elaine Steele of Loose Creek, along with nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Ann Schepker and two brothers, Donald and William Eynard.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Memorial Service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Samuel Powell officiating. Inurnment with full Military Honors will be held at Linn Public Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Central Missouri Honor Flight.
