Robert Irene Feather, Jr., 82, of
Pontotoc, Mississippi, and formerly of Tupelo and Clarksdale, Mississippi, passed away of cancer on Friday, November 28, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. The oldest of seven children, Robert was born on August 10, 1943, in Hushpuckena, Mississippi to Robert Irene Feather, Sr. and Frenchie Esau Genola Feather.
He was preceded in death by Vera Qualls Feather, wife of 35 years, and by Ethel A. Feather, wife of 17 years; his parents, Robert Irene Feather, Sr. and Frenchie Esau Genola Feather; two brothers, Amos Lee Feather, Sr. and Ronald Lynn Feather; a brother-in-law, Marvin E. Fullilove, Sr., a granddaughter, April M. Coker; a step-daughter, Sharon Ann Harrison Hodge; and a step-son, Ronald Grady Harrison.
Survivors include his children, Connie S. Feather Coker (Jimmy) of Pensacola, Florida; Robert Irene Feather, III (Robby) of Oxford, Mississippi; his three sisters, Nancy Feather Fullilove, Saltillo, Mississippi; Alice Feather Childress (Andy), Ripley, Tennessee; Carolyn Feather Roye, Mooreville, Mississippi; and one brother, James E. Feather (Beverly) Saltillo, Mississippi; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one uncle, Harmon E. Feather, Evansville, Indiana; a step-daughter, Sheila Lunn King (Carlos) of
Pontotoc, Mississippi; and step-sons, Ralph Dewayne Harrison of Hurricane, Mississippi, and Kenneth Scott Harrison of
Pontotoc, Mississippi; and six step-grandchildren, eighteen step-great grandchildren, and five step-great great grandchildren; a host of friends, nieces, nephews; and a special friend, Wanda Faust.
Robert's work career spanned 40 years in several locations as Head Meat Cutter for Kroger, as well as 15 years for Todd's Big Star in Tupelo. He was a faithful member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Tupelo. As well as being an avid fisherman, Robert greatly enjoyed deer hunting and riding his motorcycle. Additional hobbies included gardening, watching westerns and the Atlanta Braves and Ole Miss games, as well as sitting on his deck, admiring his beautiful flowers while watching his hummingbird's feed. A planner and thinker, Robert was very organized and had a very high work ethic and morals. He loved the Lord and reflected Him in his everyday life. Robert enjoyed spending precious time with each member of his beloved family. His incredible memory earned him the nickname "Mr. Google."
Visitation will be at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in
Pontotoc, MS on Sunday, November 30, 2025, from 4:00-7:00 pm.
Funeral will be at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in
Pontotoc, MS on Monday, December 1, 2025, at 11:00 am, with visitation from 10:00–11:00 am prior to service. Officiating will be Bro. Rob Garland, with special music by Richard Galabiz. Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Coker, Chase Coker, Jamie Coker and Tyler Feather; and honorary pallbearer is Carlos King. Graveside service to follow at Oakridge Cemetery in Clarksdale, MS.
