Robert Fish Obituary
A proud graduate of DeLaSalle High School, Robert went on to work for many years as a bakery driver with Taystee Bread, a job he truly enjoyed. Known for his generous spirit and compassionate heart, he touched the hearts of everyone that knew him.
A deeply faithful man, Robert devoted much of his life to serving others through the Catholic Church, holding numerous volunteer positions. His faith guided his life and was a source of strength especially in later years. He was immensely proud of celebrating 50 years of sobriety, a testament to his strength and dedication.
Robert loved life and embraced it fully. He enjoyed golf, fishing, playing cards, music and attending concerts. He especially loved to polka dance and attend polka festivals with his beloved wife Mary and family. He had a talent for drawing, particularly horses and was known for his quick wit and great sense of humor. In the last few years, as his dementia worsened, music became increasingly important, as he was always able to recognize his favorite songs.
Robert will be remembered for his compassion, generosity, faith, humor and the joy he brought to everyone around him. His legacy of love, laughter and dedication will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Robert was preceded in death by grandson, John; parents, Martha and Raymond; brothers, James, Roger, Carroll, and Myron; sister, Marion and former wife Beverly. He was survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Mary; his children, Robert (Annette), Becky (Greggory) Dolinsky, Barbara (Joseph) Hartwick, Brad (Jill); stepchildren, Julie (Brian) Kroll, Dina (Scott) Moyer, Paul (Jill) Enger, Kristin (Tim) Bolgar; 35 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren; siblings, Rosie Chyrklund, Ronald, and Katie (Tom) Bortscheller.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22 at 11:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, 4030 Jackson St. NE, Columbia Heights. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the church service.

Uncle Bob always had a quick wit with a sensational sense of humor. He was so much fun to be around! I will miss that a lot but will always have fond memories of the times we had when were able to be together. Rest well Uncle Bob, I will miss you.
