State College, Pennsylvania - Robert Thomas Fogarty, 62, of State College, died Saturday, January 17, 2026, at home surrounded by family.

Born January 31, 1963, in Fremont, CA, he was the son of the late Harold and Juliette Ithurburn Fogarty. On April 29, 1989, he married Debra Fogarty, who survives.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Matthew Fogarty and his wife Elyse Eshelman of Hyattsville, MD, and Michael Fogarty of Washington, DC; a grandson, Theo Fogarty; and three brothers, James Fogarty and his wife Beth of Berwyn, IL, Daniel Fogarty and his wife Barbe of Kutztown, and Paul Fogarty and his wife Frances of Oakdale, CA; along with many other beloved family members and friends.

Robert graduated from Hershey High School in 1981 where he proudly served as Treasurer of his class. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from West Virginia University (WVU) in 1987. At WVU, Robert held numerous leadership roles in the Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Following a successful management career with local manufacturing firms, Robert joined Penn State University's Global Campus as a Senior Business Analyst in 2013. Robert was highly respected in his profession, giving annual presentations at national conferences in his field.

Robert attended Good Shepherd Catholic Church where he taught CCD for seven years while his sons participated. He was a member of Mountain View Country Club where he was an avid golfer, joining many groups to play.

A visitation will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, from 5 to 7 pm at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA, with a Rosary service to follow at 7 pm.

Burial will be in Oakdale, California.
