Rev. Robert Jerry Foote

Funeral service for Rev. Robert Jerry Foote, 83, of Anniston, will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 3:00 p.m., at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Rev. Rick Foote will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will directly follow the service in Anniston Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Foote passed away on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital in Anniston. He is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Foote.
He leaves behind his son, Martin Foote (Dana); grandsons, Zachary Foote, Andrew Foote, and Jason Foote; brother, Frank Foote (Kathleen); and several nieces and nephews.
Rev. Foote was in the ministry for over 55 years, serving in various churches throughout Calhoun and Talladega Counties, lastly serving as associate pastor at Mt. View Baptist Church. He also served as a chaplain at Anniston RMC for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, and was active in volunteer work, including Carpenters for Christ and World Changers. He will be dearly missed.
Pallbearers will be Larry Curvin, Johnny Curvin, Gerald Shaw, Bill Cook, Arlan Currie, Zachary Foote and Jason Foote.
Honorary pallbearers will be the chaplains of Anniston RMC and Stringfellow Hospital.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to the Alabama Baptist Children's Homes in Oxford or to Mt. View Baptist Church, 1354 Mtn. View Rd. Alexandria, AL 36250.
