**In Loving Memory of Robert Eugene "Rocky" Ford**

Robert Eugene “Rocky” Ford, aged 83, of Cross Plains, Texas, was called home to be with Jesus on October 15, 2025. His love lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Born on January 4, 1942, in Merkel, Texas, to LE Buddy Ford and Mattie Ruth Hickam-Ford, Robert led a life marked by hard work and dedication. He spent many years in the oilfield before embarking on a fulfilling career as a truck driver, a role that he cherished until his retirement.

Robert’s journey was enriched by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, LE Buddy and Mattie Ruth Ford; his two wives, Barbara Thetford and Frances Redding; as well as his brother, Don Ford, and sister, Ethel Putman.

He leaves behind a legacy of love and strength through his children: Eugene Ford and his fiancée Dawn of Cross Plains, Texas; Brian Ford and his wife Kelly of Cross Plains, Texas; and Corey Ford and his wife Crystal of Hull, Texas. His warmth will forever be felt by his 11 grandchildren—Brandon, Maci, Cody, Brittany, Steven, Dakota, Chad, Haylee, Slayd, Seely, and Brook—and his 10 great-grandchildren.

Robert also cherished his sister, Billee of Boise, Idaho, and is survived by five nephews, one niece, and numerous cousins who will remember him fondly.

Robert “Rocky” Ford will be deeply missed, but his love will continue to inspire and guide us.
