Robert Glenn "Fireball" Forrester

Robert Glenn "Fireball" Forrester, 88, Wildwood, Florida passed away peacefully on February 10, 2026 at Lady Lake Senior Living in Lady Lake, Florida under the loving care of his family and staff of Vitas Hospice. Glenn was born on April 2, 1937 in Macon, Georgia to his parents Alexander Gerard Forrester and Dorothy (Merritt) Forrester.

After the death of his mother Glenn and his family moved with his father to Wildwood and lived here for a short time. He was a Graduate of Wildwood High School class of 1957 and after graduation was a ranch hand for the Bailey family. He then returned to Forsyth, Georgia and joined the Georgia National Guard and served honorably for two years. Glenn was the owner of Forrester Construction and built residential homes in Central Florida. He moved back in 1973 to Wildwood, Florida. He was an avid golfer and hunter with a quick wit and extraordinary stories. He enjoyed hunting in Georgia, Alabama and Florida with friends he considered family.

Glenn is survived by his three children: Theresa Spencer and her husband Keith of Nevada, MO, Lisa Helen Gaskins and her husband Tracy of Wildwood, FL and Robbie Forrester and his wife Annalise of Forsyth, GA; and his three children by marriage: David Geiger of Germany, Bonita Worrell and her husband Neil of Wildwood, FL and Gene Partin and his wife Audra of Fruitland Park, FL; two brothers: Billy Forrester and his wife Debbie of Pearl River, LA, Rev. Samuel Forrester and his wife Sharon of Cashiers, NC; a sister: Edna F. Riley of Nevada, MO; two grandchildren: Forrest Spencer and Maggie Forrester; eight step grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Dorothy Forrester, a brother, Ander Forrester, a beloved wife, Mary Alma Jones Forrester and his beloved grandson, Gavin Hunter Forrester.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026 at 12:00PM at the Oxford Memorial Center at Pine Level Cemetery in Oxford, Florida. A private committal will be held for family members.
