Robert Foss Obituary
April 2, 1985 – August 25, 2024
La Grange-Charlie Robert Foss, 39, passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024. Robert was born in Lenoir County to Robert E. "Bob" Foss, Jr. and Karen Mercer Foss on April 2, 1985.
With a great love for the outdoors, Robert was a keen fisherman and hunter. From rabbits and deer to quail and ducks, Robert enjoyed his time in nature hunting for his prized trophies. Even his job was based on his love for the outdoors, as he worked in landscaping throughout his career.
A service of love and remembrance will be held by the graveside at the family cemetery on Heath Road, La Grange, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 30, 2024 with Rev. Percy Cunningham officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, August 29, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home.
In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by his son, Robert James "RJ" Foss; sister, Rachel Barrow; nieces, Savanna and Brynleigh; grandmother, Jane Mercer Deaver (Garland); aunt, Gail Stanley (Chris); cousins, Ashley Stanley and Kayla Lewis (Ryan); along with many extended family and friends.
Robert was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clifton Wayne Mercer, Robert E. "Bobby" Foss, Sr., and Peggy Stocks.

Robert was a great man that who was always there to help anybody in need. He worked with me at Pete's Seafood. Robert was the man to ask questions before you went fishing. He loved his Dad wanting only to make him PROUD, but like most caring and loving men he was a mama's boy like myself. Robert was blessed by God who gave him his only son RJ. He was a man I could count on if and when I called on him. I will TRULY miss Rob !!!!
