MILAN-Robert "Bob" W. Foster Sr., 82, of Milan, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at his residence.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am on Saturday, September 17, 2022, at Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home and Crematory, Milan. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday, September 16, 2022, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline. Memorial may be made to the family to be designated at a later date.
Bob was born on November 16, 1939 in Moline, the son of Francis and Ruth (Harper) Foster. He married JoAnn Nyquist on August 18, 1962, in Milan. He retired as a construction worker for Teamsters Local #371, working primarily for General Asphalt. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. Bob will be remembered as a jack of all trades, wrenching on his cars, and doing handy work around the house. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. Bob loved traveling to Florida for vacations.
Bob is survived by his wife, JoAnn Foster; children, Robert Foster Jr., Jody (Gary) Elliott, and Dawn (Scott) Keith; granddaughters, Jamie (Logan) Frost and McKenna Keith (Donnie Graham); twin great granddaughters due December 2022; sisters, Arlene "Toots" and Kathy; brothers, Raymond "Butch", Dennis, Mike, and Steve; loving dog, Jasper; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Beverly, Marilyn, and Norma "Kay", and brothers, Kenneth, John, Gary, and infant brother, Ronald.
