Robert Frates Obituary
Robert H. Frates (Bobby) 68 of Tiverton RI passed away peacefully at home on December 27, 2025 with his wife by his side. He was an Army war veteran serving in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm.
He was proud to have served his country and the years he spent in the military. He was a member of VFW Post 5392 and the DAV. He enjoyed spending time with his family, the many shelties he had and the stray cats he fed.
Robert is survived by his wife of forty-seven years Darlene Frates; two brothers David Frates and James Frates and several nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late Stephen and Carol Frates and brother of the late Stephen Frates II.
Burial will be private at Pocasset Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warriors or the DAV.
His courage in service to his country and kindness in life will be remembered by all who knew him. Bobby you will be greatly missed but remembered in our hearts always. May you fly with the angels and rest in peace.
