Robert Lee Fulayter

Robert Lee Fulayter, 75, Sergeant E5, USMC (Ret.), tranistioned Monday, August 22, 2022 at his Saint Augustine home with his wife by his side. Bob was born February 26th, 1947, in Chicago, IL., to Peter and Rosalie (Jakubowski) Fulayter, but grew up in Hammond, Indiana where he attended Porter Elementary School and Morton High School. Growing up, Bob enjoyed many outdoor activities with his younger brother John. In 1965, he graduated from Morton High School and later (1966) enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. to serve in the Vietnam War. Until his honorable discharge, he received many accolades and awards. Bob married Jean Anderson on February 9th, 1985. He was blessed with three children: Danielle Fulayter (Rafael Ferreiro), Keary McCutchen, Neil McCutchen (Kristin Elwood), and 11 grandchildren: Nathaniel McCutchen, Sydney McCutchen, Jessenia Acevas (2001- 2021), Cameron Porter, Grace McCutchen, Simon McCutchen, Navaeh McCutchen, Neil Jr. McCutchen, Aiden Ferreiro, Evan Ferreiro, and Charlotte Ferreiro. Additionally, he is survived by his brother John (Patrice) Fulayter, best friend Wayne (Linda) Henderlong, In-Laws: Kathleen Bafia, Dick (Pat) Anderson, Joy (Barry) Robelski, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Besides spending time with his family and friends, Bob had a passion for bowling, dancing, fishing, painting, and sports. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting him, your time was filled with stories of his past and questions about your life. As I recall (his daughter), he was annoyingly interested a short answer was never sufficient. He was funny, charming, and not afraid to show his true colors. He will be missed by many, but his legacy will live on by the impact he made on those who knew him.
