It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our beloved brother, Robert William Gaines, Sr. Robert transitioned peacefully on November 15, 2025, at his home surrounded by loved ones.
A viewing and family hour will be held on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Hanley Shelton Funeral Home, 473 Lawrence Street, Marietta, Georgia 30060. The Celebration of Life Service will take place on Friday, November 21st at Turner Chapel A.M. E. Church 492 North Marietta Parkway NE Marietta, Georgia 30060. Viewing will be held from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM upon which the Service will begin. For those unable to attend in person, livestreaming will be available and the link will be shared soon.
The Interment will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the Gaines Cemetery in South Pittsburgh, Tennessee.
In honor of Robert's life and legacy, the family requests that donations be made to the Women's Ministry of Greater St. Paul A.M.E. Church. Austell. Contributions may be sent via Zelle to [email protected] or can be mailed to Greater St. Paul A.M.E. Church at 2990 Broad Street Austell, Georgia 30106.

My sincere condolences to the family of Rob.... I had the privilege to be his barber since 2011. He was a truly nice man who loved his family and was a highlight in the shop!
I am going to miss Rob´s presence on this side..... GOD BLESS him and I pray that GOD brings comfort to his wife, son, daughter, grandchildren and all that knew and loved him...
