Robert Paul (Bob) Galvin, 81, of Cleveland Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 21st, 2025. Bob was the beloved husband of the late Emily (Leach) Galvin, loving father of Robert Paul Galvin, Scott Galvin, Regan Galvin (Reva) and Elvis Galvin, and the late Chrissy Leach. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Aidan, Angelica and Ryan who called him Papa Fishy, and his grandson Brandon who called him Papa. Bob was the loving son of the late Eleanor and Thomas Galvin. He was brother to Randy Galvin who survives him and six other siblings who predeceased him: Billy, Ritchie, Ray,Tom, Julie, and Larry. In addition to his grandchildren Bob leaves many loving nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.

Bob was born in Cleveland on December 14th, 1943. After he married and had children, his sons' and nephews' best memories revolve around going fishing with him almost every weekend. Bob would tell stories about his fascination as a child watching the old-timers rubber-band fishing. Bob's brothers and their boys spent a lot of

time together gathering at each other's houses throughout their childhoods. Bob had other interests and hobbies in his life, but his main passion was fishing. The experience of fishing with him changed many lives and created lifelong bonds.

As an adult, he worked at Solon Tool & Die for decades before moving to West Virginia with Emily. Those were some of the best years of his life; after her death, Bob returned to Cleveland where he spent his retirement years with various relatives until his most recent illness. Bob requested that there be no funeral or memorial after he died. The family will honor his wishes and instead ask all who knew him to think of him fondly the next time they go fishing or indulge in their favorite peaceful activities.
