Robert Francis Gauck, 86, of Independence, passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice, Edgewood. He was born April 9, 1939, in Enochsburg, Indiana, the son of the late Norbert M. Gauck and Francis Kappes Gauck. He retired from IBM/Kodak where he repaired copiers. He was an Air Force Veteran, who loved HAM Radio, Square Dancing, RC Planes and Fishing. Survivors include his wife, Jo-Ann Crew Gauck; his sons, Robert J. Gauck (Geoia); Bryan K. Gauck (Paula); a sister, Shirley Seidholz; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings Norb Gauck, Bill Gauck, Jerry Gauck. Graveside services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, with military graveside rites. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Alzheimer's Association or the American Stroke Association.
